Really Amazing day today for me. I just like to share this to u friends (TSR)..I couldn't believe this, because this is the first day in my trading life (2

Continuing with my previous discussion on GOLD. Here is a good example of Gold "crossing over" and becoming a mainstream investment, taken from a recent article on Bloomberg.com:

Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co., the third-largest U.S. life insurer by 2008 sales, has bought gold for the first time [in] the company's 152-year history to hedge against further asset declines.

"Gold just seems to make sense; it's a store of value," Chief Executive Officer Edward Zore said in an interview...

The insurance company has been in business for 152 years and this investment is peculiar, as Gold doesn’t give any cash flows to investors. Anyone who understands the actuarial work will know the importance of cash flows to an insurance firm. I am not surprised by the investment of this insurance firm. There is an interesting article on GOLD in the recent issue of Forbes India.

On April 1992 sensex made a Bull market high of 4467 in April 1993 the bear market low of 2037 was made. In September 1994 another high of 4643 was made. This Bull market technical high lasted for five long years. As of now this rally is technical to me. Unless we see a sustained global recovery for four quarters or more we shouldn’t be optimistic on this rally. People who have tracked us know very well that we were buyers at low levels. I personally believe that 4795 is the ultimate level for this rally. Any move beyond 4795 is a false breakout for me to take the sl of people who classify as ultimate bears. Nifty as of now is overbought. Macd indicated a sell in Nifty. Tread cautiously in coming days.
